Friends of Mooloolaba Lions

Lions Members with Friends of Lions

Everyone needs a friend.

We currently have about 31 members in Mooloolaba Lions Club and run several ongoing projects at any one time. This means that sometimes we are spread very thin. Some of us still work for a living and free time is at a premium. A few are older and unable to assist with certain tasks. All are enthusiastic and committed, but with the best intentions we can’t do it all on our own. We want to do more and need your help.

Our friends are not Lions members. You might have some spare time, or a skill that you would like to contribute but are unable to commit on a regular basis. Perhaps you or someone you know can not be a Lions member because of family, work or other commitments, but are willing to lend a hand every so often, just a few hours per year to help, set up a BBQ, serving food to the hungry, organising a fundraiser, sharing your skills, maintaining a garden, aiding the disadvantaged, developing skills in others, administrative tasks, running handicraft sessions, visiting the elderly, cooking for an event, aiding student learning or helping at the Markets.

No commitments or meetings, you just have good intentions, some muscle or skill.

If this is the case, and you would like to help, just contact us , let us know what you can personally do to assist. You may not have a specific skill or ability but don’t worry, we can find a way for a willing person to help.

Membership or becoming a ‘Friend of Lions’ is an enriching experience. Giving through service can be rewarding. The benefits of becoming a member of a Lions Club include fellowship, good times, meeting people, building lasting friendships, service to the community, learning new skills, leadership, and personal development. Membership is open to men and women over the age of 18 years and of good moral character and reputation.
